My uncle makes the best bbq kielbasa we’ve ever had! He’s been making it this way forever and my family loves it so much that it has often been requested for birthday dinners! Its very simple and so delicious!
Best BBQ Kielbasa
- 1 cup BBQ Sauce (you can use any variety, but I do not recommend hickory)
- Juice of 1/2 Lime
- 1 whole Kielbasa
Combine BBQ sauce (we use Sweet Baby Ray’s original) and lime in a bowl and mix well. Cut kielbasa into diagonal slices. Coat the slices of kielbasa with the bbq sauce mixture, using a pastry brush. Allow to sit for 10-15 minutes before grilling. Heat your grill to medium heat or about 300 degrees. Place slices on the grill in an even layer and cook for about 3-5 minutes, or until grill marks form, then flip over. Continue same process on the other side. Baste with additional bbq sauce, if desired. Remove from heat an serve!
Tonight we had our kielbasa with warm flat bread and salad. It is also good with grilled or roasted veggies (like this Roasted Sweet Potato Salad) rice, red beans & rice, potato salad, baked potato or cole slaw. One of my favorite potato salad recipes is my Rosemary Parmesan Greek Yogurt Potato Salad. It goes so well with this recipe! There are several great side dishes that go well with this. Of course, my kids will tell you that mac and cheese is the best choice!
