This is the easiest, most delicious version of garlic bread I have ever made. My mouth is still watering, just thinking about them. I don’t know that I will make traditional garlic bread any time soon. Yes, they’re THAT good.
Have you used Trader Joe’s pizza dough? It is something you should always have on hand. One bag of dough costs only $1.29. It comes in regular, wheat and garlic herb and freezes well. We usually use the garlic herb to make pizza. I originally wanted to try making garlic knots with it, but this was so much easier and faster to make.
I began with 2 bags of Trader Joe’s Garlic Herb Dough. Lightly flour your surface and allow the dough to rest for about 20 minutes. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
Meanwhile, I mixed up some minced garlic, olive oil and oregano, then greased my muffin tins. I used one mini muffin tin and one regular sized muffin tin. For my double batch, I used 1/2 cup of olive oil and a heaping tablespoon of minced garlic.
Once dough has rested, you can either tear off pieces of dough or cut them into desired number of pieces. I chose to cut each pound of dough as a guide to keep them uniform in size.
Place dough in muffin tins, then generously brush with garlic and oil mixture.
Bake mini rolls for about 8-10 minutes and regular sized rolls about 12-15 minutes. It will depend on your oven, so check them a couple of minutes earlier so they don’t get overdone.
Remove from oven and set aside for a moment. Add a couple of tablespoons of melted butter, a good pinch of kosher salt and another clove or two of chopped garlic to any remaining olive oil mixture you may have. If you have any, add some chopped fresh flat leaf parsley too. (I was out or I would have) Pour over the rolls in a large bowl and toss to coat evenly. I can’t even begin to describe how incredible these taste! They are dangerously delicious!
