When I get hungry between meals or have a sweet craving, my go-to snack is 1/2 cup blackberries with a drizzle of organic raw honey and a sprinkle of sliced almonds & organic unsweetened coconut. Its very delicious and satisfying. It tastes like you’re eating a summer dessert. I think its a great alternative to cobbler. And packed with many health benefits too!
Blackberries – Low cal, low sugar, loaded with vitamins, antioxidants & phytonutrients
Raw Honey – Great for allergies, blocks free radicals, promotes good bacteria in intestinal tract, high in vitamins & minerals
Coconut – high in fiber, low glycemic index, has anti-bacterial, anti-fungral, anti-viral properties
Almonds – Can help lower bad cholesterol, improve bone density, high in phosphorous which is good for your teeth, great for your skin – anti-aging properties
You can eat blueberries and strawberries this way too. Or mix all 3! Sometimes I add a dollop of Greek yogurt.
Its sweet. Its crunchy. And its all gluten free!
